eaves is a published quarterly, by the Temple of Danann, to coincide with the Solstices and Equinoxes.
Our primary purpose is to provide a scholarly and academic forum for research into the culture and spirituality of the pre-common era Irish. We firmly believe that in order to understand the religion of a people, you must understand the culture that engendered it. Thus, we intend our Journal to be the voice of objective research, unfettered by the misconceptions of religious and ethnic bias.
We do not intend controversy, yet we realize that some of our ideas are challenging to preconceived concepts. For example, "St. Patrick" did not drive the snakes from Ireland. Snakes were not native to the land. Further, the Irish intelligencia was highly literate long before Patrick's arrival. Thus, we recommend our readers keep an open mind. |
